Thanks for the reply. So what would be the BIOS version that I shoudl use in order for me to install the C2Q q9550? I current;y have v1.03 (which is very outdated). should I install the one on this link?

Can I install this on a Windows 8.1 System? It doesn't show on the operating systems list. And yes, this computer's warranty's already expired. I brought this from a computer surpulus in my school.
