Hi There,
At our school we use the HP Elite Desktop 8200, 8300 and 800 G1 serie computers. On all computers we have installed Windows 8.1 enterprise 64 bits. At first there where no problems, but the last few months we have a lot off issues with the proformance from the 8200 and 8300.
Startup is extreem slow and when the computers are booted completly they aren't as quick as they use to be.
While looking at this problem we noticed that teh harddrive is extremly busy. The throughput from the disk is about 3 MB/s (Max) that seems to be low because when running Windows 7 it reaches about 20 MB/s.
We have updated the SATA driver (with the Windows 7 64 bits one because there are no SATA drivers available for Windows 8.1) and the problem is fixed.
However this is the sollution for one day because after this the computer is slow again. When we update the driver again (Windows says that the windows 7 driver is running) it is quick again.
Anybode any ideas what we can do?
We have disabled all programms that we could that run on the background also already.
Thanks,
Marcel
