Thanks Paul.  This is a great help.  

Unfortunately, many of the drivers there are 64-bit and I need 32-bit.  I did get the LAN driver from the Atheros website.  That was the most important driver that I needed.

It's sad that consumers have to go to all this trouble to use Windows 7 when they don't want Windows 8.  Is Microsoft paying HP to push Windows 8? I fell sorry for consumers that are not computer savy enough to to get the drivers they need to run their computers.  

I will make sure that next computer that I buy has all the necessary drivers etc. for Windows 7.  Probably won't be HP.
