I must now for the fourth time repost the truth about the criminal gangsters at Hewlett Packard, who, operating through their foreign worm Rashmi, wish to silence me so as to protect their criminal conspiracy.
"Thank you for your response, Paul.
I tried you solution and it did not work. I have thus ordered a low profile GeForce 720 graphics card. While inexpensive, it is an expense that should have been unnecessary.
As there is no hardware difference between the chipset on the 3047h motherboard and that which AMD sold to other motherboard manufacturers, this means that HP modified the firmware to ensure it would ONLY function with an HP provided driver. And as HP has refused to provide a driver for Windows 8/8.1 while ensuring the Windows 7 driver will not work, this makes it impossible to upgrade the machine to a new operating system without purchasing a graphics card.
And come to think of it, years ago when I was teenager, we had an expensive HP server in which one of the hard disk drives failed. I tried replacing it with a hard drive I got off of Newegg, but it didn't work. Why? HP had modified the storage controller firmware so it would only work with HP-branded hard drives. The HP-branded hard drives were no longer manufactured, so we had to throw out the entire server. HP doesn't even manufacture hard drives!
My conclusion is that HP is a criminal organization engaged in a criminal conspiracy against its own customers. Now exactly why HP hates its own customers and wishes to make our lives inconvenient is open to debate, but it is a fact.
So I have now implemented a new company policy. Effective immediately, no one is allowed to purchase an HP desktop, workstation, or server for any reason at all. And unless there is no alternative at all, our personnel are not to purchase HP laptops, printers, or other HP products unless there is no alternative.
Finally, while I expect nothing to come of this as HP and HP executives donate more to politicians than I do, I will be filing a complaint against HP with the Federal Trade Commission for illegal restraint of trade. HP's criminal practices remind me of the automobile manufacturers in the bad old days before Congress passed lemon laws, right-to-repair laws, and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (incidentally--this law applies to PC manufacturers as well and is violated by them as a matter of policy).
I will also write and mail a letter to HP's CEO Meg Whitman detailing this to her and why I and the organization I work for will no longer do business with HP. As Meg Whitman is a vainglorious, incompetent lardass who doesn't know the difference between a byte and a bite of cheesecake I am not expecting much.
I predict that HP will not exist a decade from now. How in the hell does HP expect to survive in a globally competitive industry with razor thin margins when they have no unique technology, no brand value (destroyed by Carly Fiorina--another vain idiot), and they delight in abusing their customers? A sad decline and fall of a once great American corporation."
