ZBook Graphics and Primary Display

Having recently received an HP ZBook 15 I was going over the system when I discovered odd behavior that I am now trying to correct.  This ZBook 15 has i7 with Intel Graphics as well as a Nvidia quadro K2100M board (the i7 graphics have 512M of video Ram and the Nvidia has 2G of video Ram).  I want to use the more advanced Nvidia board on the primary laptop display and cannot seem to configure this as such (my past HP Elitebook Mobile Workstations have always allowed this).  Additionally, the docking station (not the advanced version) will not allow dual displays with this new ZBook where all my other HP laptops do (8440w for example).  Please assist as this seems extremely "lame" (for lack of a better term) to buy a high end laptop and not be able to use the advanced graphics adaptor.  I am using Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 as an operating system on this and have installed all the "latest" drivers from the HP Support Site (as well as all the latest Windows updates).
