I own an HP TouchSmart 300 that runs windows 7. My family is military and during our last move some items were lost. One of those items were my recovery discs. I called HP to order new discs and was told that HP doesn't have them anymore. I was told my computer was obsolete and HP no longer provided hardware or software support for it. I was furious to say the least. I then called my local STAPLES and they promplty ordered the recovery discs for my obsolete HP computer.
I have owned no other computers other then HP. In total, I have owned 3 HP desktops. As I sit here in my office, there are 2 HP laptops being used by my children. Because of this experience I no longer feel good about purchasing any HP products as I feel that should a problem arise or a purchase needs to be made for their product I will be out of luck.
STAPLES has stepped up to plate where HP dropped the ball. Shame on you HP for such service.
